Trader Education

Our individual clients fall into 3 categories:

    Individual Investors
    Self-sufficient Self-traders
    Broker-assisted Self-traders

Individual Investors
An Individual Investor is someone who looks at the futures, options and forex markets as diversification for his overall investment portfolio.  This individual needs to be educated about how these markets work, the various types of trading activity that occurs and the types of professional expertise that can be employed to try to take advantage of these opportunities.  Our Market Strategists are focused on this specific type of guidance and education.

Our professional staff will help you find a professionally managed program or system to fit your individual investment and risk profile.

Self-Traders
There are 2 types of self-traders:
- a totally self-sufficient electronic trader using one of our online trading platforms,
- a trader who calls his own shots but uses the help of one of our Market Strategists
Both types of self-traders have total control over all their trading decisions.

In our opinion, a ‘totally self-sufficient’ self-trader should have the optimum level of education possible.  This person is attempting to compete with the professionals, so he had better be as knowledgeable and disciplined as a professional trader.  This is certainly possible, but it takes a lot of time, work, experience and (this is important) mentoring.

Both types of self-traders should understand that education comes at a cost.  That cost can be in the form of tuition….or it can be in the form of trading losses.  In most cases, it is a combination of both.  As in most things in life, we learn more from our mistakes than we do from our successes.  A judicious and effective use of your tuition dollars can go a long ways towards minimizing the educational costs of trading losses.

You can take all the courses available until you think you know it all, but without the on-going discussion and feedback available from a professional trading mentor, your chances of success are still very small.

Broker Assisted ‘Mentoring’
Many trading educators provide ongoing mentoring plans.  Without that, we recommend that you employ the services of one of our Market Strategists to perform that role.  Our staff consists of professional traders who understand the difficulties of trading successfully in these markets.

The risk of loss in trading futures can be substantial.
