George Cocalis
Objective
“My primary objective is to educate the customer on risk tolerance and capital preservation and to adhere to a strict trading plan based on risk/reward tolerance. Profit objectives and stops are used to formulate a trading strategy. I utilize my skills to teach clients how to incorporate market discipline and strategy into their trading. My goal is to provide unparalleled service to my clients and to tailor my services to their unique needs. Whether a novice or a seasoned professional, the trader must realize that it is the trader against themselves as well as the markets. I complement personal relationships with my clients with my experience, knowledge and integrity.”
Background
“I started my 19-year career in the futures industry on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and rose through the ranks to become a supervisor in the currencies servicing both retail and institutional customers. From that point, I was promoted to floor manager in the S&P's, currencies, and meats where I trained and educated a staff in excess of 100 employees. I parlayed my floor knowledge and experience on the floor into becoming a Senior Market Strategist, working directly with clients.”
Market Focus
"Identifying trends and to participate accordingly; not necessarily catching the top or bottom of the trend but to emphasize the middle of the move."
Trading Strategies
“I like to trade breakouts on recognizable price patterns and to trade bounces using Fibonacci numbers using close stops. Also, I like to sell premium on calls and puts that are far away from the current market trying to capture time premium. This can be a nice compliment to existing futures strategies.
Risk / Money Management View
Stops are used strictly with trading strategies, specifically layering different stop points instead of the "all or none" strategy. The customer will come to understand that it is not just the customer vs. the markets but the customer vs. themselves.
Technical and/or Fundamental Focus
“Technical studies are necessary to establish entry and exit points. I use a combination of Fibonacci numbers, Stochastics, Moving Averages and Volume Indicators.”
